Abstract

Objective:To examine the expression pattern of Claudin-1、Claudin-3 in eutopic and ectopic endometrium of women with endometriosis explore its clinical significance. Methods:The expression levels of Claudin-1、Claudin-3 in 40 cases of eutopic and ectopic endometrium of women with endometriosis and 30 cases of normal endometrium of control group were measured by immunohistochemistry. Results:Compared with those of controls, the expression of Claudin-1、Claudin-3 was found to be significantly decreased in eutopic and ectopic endometrium of women with endometriosis (P 0.01). Conclusion:Claudin-1、Claudin-3 might be correlated with development of endometriosis due to its significant down regulation expression in eutopic and ectopic endometrium of women with endometriosis.
