Abstract
Objective To observe the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in endometriosis,and to explore its possible role in the pathogenesis of endometriosis.Methods The expression of VEGF in 30 normal endometrium,30 ectopic endometrium and eutopic endometrium were detected by immunohistochemistry,and the data was analyzed with SPSS11.0 statistical software.Results The expression level of VEGF in the ectopic endometriotic tissues was significantly higher than those in the eutopic endometrium and nomal endometrium(P0.05),and the expression level of VEGF in the eutopic endometrium was significantly higher than that in nomal endometrium(P0.05).Conclusions VEGF may contribute to the pathogenesis of endometriosis.
