Abstract
Objective:To investigate the distribution and number of nature killer(NK)cells in ectopic and eutopic endometrium in patients with endometriosis(EM),and its role on pathogenesis.Methods:NK cells marked with CD57antibody by immunohistochemical technique in endometrium were observed for the distriˉbution and density.Results:The positive NK cells with CD57were present in endometrium in proliferative and secretive stage in EM and control groups.There was no significant difference in the number of NK cells between ectopioc and eutopic endometrium in EM and control groups(P0.05),but there was an increased trend in the density of NK cells in ectopic endometrium than that in eutopic and control endometrium.Conclusion:(1)There is no significant difference in the number of NK cells between ectopic and eutopic endometrium in patients with EM.(2)The function of NK cells in ectopic endometrium of EM may be inhibited,and ectopic endometrium can not be cleaned by NK.
