Abstract
Objective To observe the effect and feasibility of Nylestriol for recurrent hematuria in postmenopausal women. Methods Totally 68 postmenopausal women with recurrent hematuria were randomly divided into 2 groups of trial (n=48) and control (n=20).The patients in the trial group were given oral estrogen, and those in the control group antibiotic and haemostatic, for 6 months respectively. The recurrent rate, endometrial thickness and side effects were observed. Results There was significant difference in recurrent rate between the two groups 3 months and six months after the end of the treatment course (P0.05).However there was no significant difference in endometrial thickness between the two groups before and after the treatment (P0.05).Conclusion Nylestriol can effectively reduce repeated onset of recurrent hematuria in postmenopausal women.
