Abstract
Many studies have focused on the effect of technology on young children’s educational development; yet, few studies have considered the role teachers play in the positive utilization of technology in the early years of education, especially in Saudi Arabia. COVID-19 has make a revolution and use of technology in teaching especially at school level is very important. In this study we present a statistics based study to investigate the views of teachers for the use of technology in the class room. The primary contribution of this research is to evaluate the importance of technology usage at school level. The experimentation was performed with two basic tools e.g through questionares and conducting the interviews. A data set of 470 respondendants was collected through the tools. We used the SPSSS tool and its libraries to perform the analysis of collected data set. Interesting findings were obtained revealing the positive attitude for using the technology as a literacy tool. This could be helpful for the schools administration and govermant offices to utilize the technology as a literacy tool. The study also revelas some barriers to use the technology, e.g. time and lack of knowledge to use the technology for the teachers. Finally, as an outcome, this study suggests the importance of teacher trainings on technology usage. Therefore, the integration of technology in kindergartens requires a comprehensive plan in terms of educational objectives, which can be achieved through the use of technology.
