The Gaussian plume model is used as semi-analytical solution of the molecular diffusion equation for respect to instantaneous and continuous point, line and area sources. Results show that the applied mathematical model is suitable and applicable as the predicted concentrations were in good agreement with the observed concentrations of I 135 in all cases.
