Abstract
Throughout the centuries, there have always been preferable societal dating protocols. From arranged marriages in biblical times to classical Roman courtships, the protocols and values embodied throughout society constantly fluctuated. In the era of technology, the introduction of new platforms for dating has provided an alternative route for developing relationships. While there are prominent assets and liabilities to the integration of dating apps, there is no clear indication of whether they have affected the relationships of their users. This prompts the question, have dating protocols and values among emerging Australian adults shifted with the popularization of dating apps?
