CT Diagnosis of Female Pelvic Benign Lesions

Abstract
Purpose:To analyze and summarize the CT features of benign female pelvic lesions.Materials and Methods:CT findings of benign female pelvic lesions in 27 patients(32 lesions),aged 22~70 years,with a mean of 43 years,were retrospectively analyzed.Results:Of 31 benign pelvic lesions,25 were originated from genital system,7 weren′t tumors.Conclusion:(1)Benign tumors,such as teratoma,uterine leiomyoma,ovarian cyst,cystadenoma,have some characteristic signals on CT with which diagnostic accuracy may be obtained.(2)some so-called malignant features of tumors,such as cystic wall nodules,irregular thick wall,necrosis,can also be found in benign tumors.(3)Ectopic pregnancy,internal endometriosis,pelvic abscess,haven′t characteristic signals on CT.
