The term "development" has been replaced with "sustainable development." Thus, "finance" has become "sustainable finance" due to changes in the funding sources. This study aims to explore the literature development and trends in sustainable finance, an emerging field of study. Bibliometric analysis has been carried out using the Scopus databases to analyze trends and develop the literature on sustainable finance. Bibliometric data on citations, scientific publications, authors, sources, and affiliations, as well as contributions from various countries, keywords, trending topics, and prospective future research areas, are to be gathered. Data for the study is gathered from the Scopus research database, which spans the years 2012 through 2024. R Studio's Biblioshiny is utilized for data evaluation. The analysis covers country-specific research output, average citations, yearly publication output, prominent authors and institutions, and frequently used keywords. According to the analysis, there has been a consistent rise in scientific publications over time, which suggests that interest in the same field is growing. Higher average citation counts indicate the influence of earlier publications, while lower citation rates indicate the impact of more recent publications. The two main topics of focus are "ESG" and "sustainable finance." prestigious institutions with a high overall impact include the University of Zaragoza, Nord University, New York University, and the Journal of Sustainable Finance and Investment. The report emphasizes the increasing significance of sustainable finance in corporate operations as well as the ongoing curiosity about the connection between sustainable development and sustainable finance. The findings indicate that sustainable development and sustainable finance have received more attention recently in environmental studies.
