Abstract

【Objective】To assess the clinical efficacy of laparoscopic uterine artery blockage and excision of lesion for the treatment of adenomyosis.【Methods】Laparoscopic uterine artery blockage and excision of lesion were performed in 30 patients with adenomyosis, monopole electromyolysis was performed in remnants of lesion.Myomectomy and enucleation were performed at the same time in patients with uterine leiomyoma and chocolate cyst of ovary.Lysis of adhesion and vaporization of endometriosis were performed in some patients.Symptoms and uterine volumes of all patients were investigated after treatment.【Results】Relieved clinical symptoms were found in all 30 patients.Menstrual blood volume was reduced to (49±19)%.Complete disappearance of dysmenorrhea was found in 23 patients(76.7%),significantly alleviated in 9 patients(16.6%),partially alleviated in 2 patients(6.7%).Pain score and classification were decreased significantly(P0.01).The uterine volume decreased significantly.【Conclusion】 Laparoscopic uterine artery blockage and excision of lesion are an effective and safe method for the treatment of adenomyosis.
