Abstract

The relationship between cytokine gene polymorphisms and genital endometriosis (GE) development in women of reproductive age, its clinical evidence, the disease progression stages and efficiency of combined treatment were analyzed. Polymorphic variants of cytokine genes were identified in the RFLP-analysis. Carriage of not only separate cytokine gene polymorphisms IL1B C511T (Allele Т), IL2 T-330G (Allele G), IL4 C-590T (Allele Т), IL6 G-174C (Allele C), IL10 С-592A (Allele A and Genotypes СА, АА), TNFА G-308A (Allele A and Genotype АА) and TGFB C-509T (Allele Т and Genotype СТ), but also their combinations (IL2GG/IL4CC/IL10CC/TNFАGG) are established to predispose to GE development. Carriage of Genotype ТТ of polymorphism C511T of IL1B gene predisposes to the development of pelvic pains during GE and Stages III/IV GE distribution. At that infertility during the GE as well as the efficacy of its hormonal treatment are not associated with carriage of separate cytokine gene polymorphisms but rather with their combinations -- IL2ТТ/IL4CC/IL10CC/TNFАGG and IL1СТ/IL4СС/IL6GG/IL10CС/TGFВСС, respectively.
