1,3-dihydro-2H-benzimidazol-2-ylidene derivatives

Disclosed are 1,3-dihydro-2H-benzimidazol-2-ylidene derivatives as represented by the general formula (I) which are gonadotrophin releasing hormone (GnRH) receptor antagonists wherein A is optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted heteroaryl ring B is a benzene ring or thiophene ring ring C is a benzene ring or 5- to 7-membered aliphatic hydrocarbon ring optionally having a double bond in the ring and wherein the remaining substituents are as defined herein. Also disclosed is the use of a compound as defined above or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for the manufacture of a gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) receptor antagonist or a medicament for treating prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia, breast cancer, endometriosis and/or uterine fibroid.
