Abstract
Objective:To detect the expression of human leukocyte antigen E(HLA-E) in eutopic and endometrium of adenomyosis,so as to evaluate the role of HLA-E in the pathogenesis of adenomyosis. Methods:The study subjects enrolled between December 2008 and October 2009 at the Department of Gynecology.Sixty-two women with active adenomyosis lesions were assigned to the adenomyosis group and twenty control subjects were undergoing hysterectomy for myoma.Using SP immunonhistochemical technique,we examined the expression of HLA-E in both groups and compared the results.Results:HLA-E in the control group was low expression(A value:11 373.40±3 115.72);in the case group eutopic endometrium(A value: 14 757.73±4 845.37) and ectopic endometrium(A value:17 332.55±4 243.16) were higher than that of the control group, increased significantly(P0.05).The difference between groups of eutopic endometrium and ectopic lesion was not statistically significant(P0.05).Further grouping, between cases of proliferative and secretory the expression of HLA-E,the difference was not statistically significant(P0.05),what was more, shallow and deep groups the expression of HLA-E,the difference was not statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion:① High expression of HLA-E may be involved in the pathogenesis of adenomyosis.②The expression of HLA-E dose not differ according to menstrual cycle and dose not correlate with depth of myometrium infiltration.③Improving the immune status of patients, and provide a new idea for the clinical treatment of adenomyosis.
