Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical value of combined detection of serum EMAb and CA125 in endometriosis in its diagnosis, staging, prognosis and evaluation. Methods EMAb detection enzymelinked immunosorbent assay(ELISA method)and CA125 immunoradiometric assay determination (IRMA)were used. Simultaneously serum EMAb and CA125 were detected in 45 cases of normal control group and a comparison was made. Results (1)Thirty cases were positive EMAb in 45 cases of EM group, accounting for 66.7%,and 4 cases showed positive antiendometrial antibody in the normal control group, accounting for 8.9%,showing that the EM group was significantly higher than the normal control group(P0.05). CA125 value was(51.57±1.88)U/ml and 25 cases were positive in the EMT group, accounting for 55.6%. CA125 value was(15.79±7.52)U/ml and 2 cases were positive in the control group, accounting for 4.44%. EMT group was significantly higher than the control group(P0.05).(2)When the two indicators were positive, the sensitivity was 51.11% and specificity was 100% in the diagnosis of endometriosis. If either of them was used as the diagnostic criterion for endometriosis, the sensitivity was 82.22% and the specificity was 75.55%. (3)The EmAb serum at different stages in EM group was compared as follows:when Stage I was compared with Stage Ⅱand Stage Ⅱwas compared with Stage Ⅲ,χ2 was 0.079 and 3.255,respectively(P0.05),and in comparison of Stage Ⅲ with Stage Ⅳ,χ2 was 4.60(P0.05),in the serum CA125 comparison:when Stage I was compared with Stage Ⅱ,t was 2.27,P0.05,when Stage Ⅱ was compared with Stage Ⅲ,t was 2.17(P0.05),and in comparison of Stage Ⅲ with Stage Ⅳ,t was 2.84(P0.01). Conclusion Serum CA125 and EMAb are of some value in the diagnosis of endometriosis and serum CA125 may be a helpful target for monitoring of endometriosis therapy.
