The main work objective is to establish a robust assessment and correlation between the Nano/Micro analysis and the different SDGs. To achieve this objective, first, a comprehensive literature review was conducted to examine how Nano and Micro analysis studies align with the 17 SDGs by mapping various Nano and Micro analysis techniques, from a wide range of research to the 17 SDGs. Then, a circular diagram to provide an engaging graphical representation of the mapping results was developed. Second, a practical statistical analysis was conducted on an eighteen-month data set of recorded entries from a renowned Nano and Microtechnology Research Center in Cairo to seek an evidence of potential contribution of Nano and Micro analysis studies and tools to the 17 SDGs. The collected data were categorized and thoroughly mapped to the 17 SDGs. Findings of this research proved a good correlation between the different studied Nano/Micro analysis techniques and the SDGs. The SDGs of the highest correlation were: SDG06 clear water sanitation, SDG09 industry, innovation and infrastructure SDG12 responsible consumption, and SDG17 partnership for the goals. The most contributing fields of study in a descending order were healthcare and medicine, material science, environmental sustainability, energy, food and agriculture, electronics, and construction and civil engineering. Finally, a set of recommendations for future practical work, as well as recommendations to more profoundly promote the progress towards sustainability were provided.
