[Use of lasers in gynecology].

On the basis of data from literature the authors present the basic principles of laser technique: radiation, specificity of laser knife and biostimulation effects of laser radiation. In connection with the use of laser in gynaecology the authors point out its use since 1971 in the treatment of different acute and chronic gynaecological diseases and in the treatment of sterility. Results of many authors are presented, especially regarding the use of CO2 laser. Some complications that may arise during laser surgery are also presented. Necessary preventive measures for complete staff dealing with laser, are also described. In the authors' opinion laser technique is a significant contribution to the treatment of different gynecological diseases.
