This long-term follow-up evaluated outcomes after radical fertility-sparing surgery for rectovaginal septum endometriosis with rectal involvement. The study included 55 premenopausal patients treated at a university clinic in Jena between 1998 and 2003 using a combined laparoscopic-vaginal en bloc resection approach, with questionnaires used to assess symptom recurrence, pregnancy, and reproduction-related outcomes. At 94 months median postoperative interval, 30 women returned questionnaires; 27 reported no complaints, 2 required reoperation for endometriosis recurrence, and 1 reported increased symptoms. Pregnancy was reported in 11 patients (18 pregnancies), and this paper’s results are discussed as supporting sustained symptom relief and the achievement of pregnancy, while a key limitation is reliance on questionnaire responses from a subset of participants.
