Abstract

Hintergrund: Neben pro-inflammatorischen Veränderungen bei Endometriose spielt eine hormonelle Dysregulation im Bereich des eutopen Endometrium eine zentrale Rolle. Aberrante Aromatase-Expression führt zu lokaler Hyperöstrogenämie und ist für die Pathogenese von großer Bedeutung.
