Abstract

Objective:To investigate the roles of IGF-Ⅰand IGFⅡ in peritoneal fluid on pathogenesis of endmetriosis(EMS) and relationship with infertility of EMS.Methods: IGF-Ⅰand IGF-Ⅱlevels in peritoneal fluid of 31 cases with EMS were detected by enzyme linked immunoabsorbent assay(ELISA) and compared with the counterpart of 19 cases without EMS(control groups). Results: The IGF-Ⅰlevels in peritoneal fluid were significantly higher in patients with EMS than those in control groups(P0.01).And in EMS groups, the IGF-Ⅰlevels in peritoneal fluid of infertile patients were significantly higher than those of fertile ones(P0.05).There were no significant differ levels of IGF-Ⅰbetween early-stage EMS and late-stage EMS.And IGF-Ⅱ levels in peritoneal fluid were not significant differ between EMS groups and control groups(P0.05). Conclusion: It was concluded that the increase levels of IGF-Ⅰin peritoneal fluid maybe involved in pathogenesis of EMS,and was a important cause of infertile of EMS.
