Meta analysis of gonadotrophin-releasing hormone analogue treatment combined with laparoscopic conservative surgery for endometriosis

Objective To evaluate the effect of gonadotrophin-releasing hormone analogue(GnRH-a)plus laparoscopic conservative surgery on endometriosis.Methods By searching PubMed,SCI,EMbase,CNKI,CBM,VIP and Chinese databases,both Chinese and English literatures of the effect of GnRH-aplus laparoscopic conservative surgery on endometriosis in controlled study were included with strict exclusion criteria.Data extraction and quality assessment were done by using the RevMan 5.1meta-analysis software.Results A total of 1 309 patients from 11 articles were divided into observation group(n=742)and control group(n=567).The results of meta-analysis showed that GnRH-aplus laparoscopic conservative surgery improved the total remission rate(OR=0.40,95%CI:0.29 to 0.55,P=0.000),reduced the recurrence rate(OR=0.40,95%CI:0.28 to 0.57,P=0.000),and increased the pregnancy rate of infertility(OR=0.40,95%CI:0.28 to 0.57,P=0.000).Conclusion GnRH-aplus laparoscopic conservative surgery can improve the total remission rate,reduce the recurrence rate and increase the pregnancy rate of infertility in patients with endometriosis.
