Moreover, in diagnostic process laparoscopy should be carried out in all women with chronic pelvic pain unresponsive to medical treatment.Initial therapy of endometriosis in women involves: surgical methods (laparotomy/ laparoscopy), hormonal pharmacotherapy (progestion- only protocols, combined contraceptives), GnRH agonist, alternative pain therapies, non- steroidal anti- inflammatory drugs and psychotherapy.
