Abstract
This study is a qualitative analysis of the forms of stigmatisation experienced by endometriosis patients from their healthcare professionals. In addition, the effects of these stigmatisation experiences on the further search for medical support are analysed. The target group consists of endometriosis patients who were diagnosed no more than 3 years ago. Guideline-based online interviews were conducted. The interview guide is theoretically based on the constructs of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), including the stigma constructs of public- and self-stigma. The aim of the study is to test the TPB model including the stigma constructs.
