A Case Report of Gastric-Type Endocervical Adenocarcinoma Accompanied with “Pelvic Mass” as the Initial Symptom

Gastric-type endocervical adenocarcinoma (GAS) is a rare non-human papillomavirus associated mucinous adenocarcinoma of the cervix. Its clinical manifestations are extremely atypical, with hidden lesions and difficulty in obtaining materials, resulting in a low positive rate of screening and biopsy. The pathological morphological features are similar to benign lesions, but the biological characteristics are highly malignant, posing great challenges to diagnosis. The preoperative diag-nostic rate is low, which is prone to misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis, leading to delayed treatment and seriously affecting the prognosis of patients. Here，we reported a case of ovarian endometriosis cyst combined with GAS confirmed by surgery and postoperative pathology, with "pelvic mass" as the initial symptom. Through case report and literature review, the characteristics and current re-search progress of GAS were summarized, in order to provide references for diagnosis of GAS, and provide theoretical guidance for formulating reasonable treatment strategy and improving patient prognosis.
