The clinical application of Mifepristone in the treatment of endometriosis

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical application of Mifepristone in the treatment of endometriosis.Methods:To analyze the selected 100 cases of endometriosis in our hospital since the year of 2011,firstly each case took Mifepristone 25 mg on the 5 d of the menstrual period,and changed into1/2 tablet daily after successive 10 d,and then altered to 1/4 tablet after successive 3 months and lasted for uninterruptable 6 months.The clinical efficacy,changes in the hormone levels and side effects were all observed.Results:After 6 months' medication,the total effective rate was 80%~88%.The luteinizing hormone and progesterone were significantly different from before medication(P0.05).Other hormone levels had no significant changes before and after medication(P0.05).During the medication time,the side effects were mild and disappeared after symptomatic treatment.Conclusion:Mifepristone has good effect in the treatment of endometriosis and few side effects,which is worthy of being clinically popularized.
