Abstract
To evaluate the application of transvaginal three dimensional ultrasonography (3D-TVUS) for intracavitary abnormalities.Ninety-two patients with intracavitary abnormalities were diagnosed by 3D-TVUS and their diagnostic parameters were compared with hysteroscopic and clinico-pathological results. The intracavitary finding and abnormalities included 28 cases of normally placed intrauterine device (IUD), 18 cases with displacement of IUD, 19 cases of uterus deformity, 3 cases with carcinoma of endometrium, 9 cases with polyps of endometrium and 15 cases of submucous uterine myoma.[Conclusion]In comparison with the traditional TVUS , 3D-TVUS can clearly display the intracavitary abnormalities , beneficial to improve the accuracy of its diagnosis.
