Application status and limitations of laparoscopy for endometriosis.

Endometriosis is a common disease which occurs in approximately 10%~15% of women of reproductive age,the main clinical impacts are pain,infertility and pelvic mass. Laparoscopy is the golden standard for the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis. For the variable characteristics of endometriosis and the difficulties and complexities during the treatment of severe or deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE),limitations still exist in clinical applications of laparoscopy for this disease.
