High-temperature fuel cells coupled with CH 4 reforming represent a promising solution that can utilize biogas for sustainable energy production and CO 2 capture. However, achieving good performance and long operation time requires the development of highly durable and efficient catalysts. In this study, the authors report the synthesis and characterization of a Ru-doped perovskite-based catalyst, especially designed for enhanced long-term stability. The Ru-doped SLT catalyst exhibited remarkable stability, achieving high CH₄ and CO₂ conversion rates over extended operation. Notably, the catalyst demonstrated stable performance for over 1,300 hours and a reduction in performance of about 5% over 1,000 hours, which is significantly longer than other catalysts reported in the literature, many of which are limited to 500 hours or less. In addition, the Ru-doped Sr 0.90 La 0.10 TiO 3 catalyst showed excellent resistance to carbon deposition, with no detectable coking observed throughout the duration of the test. These findings position Sr 0.90 La 0.10 Ti 1−x Ru x O 3 as a promising candidate for integration into high-temperature fuel cell systems, offering both long-term stability and high efficiency under dry reforming conditions. reduce global warming. High-temperature fuel cells coupled with CH\u003csub\u003e4\u003c/sub\u003e reforming represent a promising solution that can utilize biogas for sustainable energy production and CO\u003csub\u003e2\u003c/sub\u003e capture. However, achieving good performance and long operation time requires the development of highly durable and efficient catalysts. In this study, the authors report the synthesis and characterization of a Ru-doped perovskite-based catalyst, especially designed for enhanced long-term stability. The Ru-doped SLT catalyst exhibited remarkable stability, achieving high CH₄ and CO₂ conversion rates over extended operation. Notably, the catalyst demonstrated stable performance for over 1,300 hours and a reduction in performance of about 5% over 1,000 hours, which is significantly longer than other catalysts reported in the literature, many of which are limited to 500 hours or less. In addition, the Ru-doped Sr\u003csub\u003e0.90\u003c/sub\u003eLa\u003csub\u003e0.10\u003c/sub\u003eTiO\u003csub\u003e3\u003c/sub\u003e catalyst showed excellent resistance to carbon deposition, with no detectable coking observed throughout the duration of the test.
