Observation on the clinical curative effect of Xiang'e capsule in treatment of endometriosis

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Xiang'e capsule in treatment of endometriosis.Methods:63 patients with stage Ⅲ～Ⅳ endometriosis diagnosed definitely by laparoscopy or laparotomy were randomly divided into Xiang'e capsule group(31 patients) and danazol group(32 patients).The patients in Xiang'e capsule group were treated with oral administration of Xiang'e capsule,three capsules once,three times a day,6 g every day;while the patients in danazol group were treated with oral administration of danazol,200 mg per time,three times a day,600 mg one day;the courses of treatment in the two groups both were 12 weeks.Numeric rating scale(NRS),the levels of estradiol in peripheral blood and menstrual blood,interleukin-8 content in peripheral blood were detected before and after treatment,after treatment,NRS scoring was performed.Results:①Comparison of clinical efficacy between the two groups: among 31 patients in Xiang'e capsule group,12 patients(38.71%) were cured,8 cases(25.81%) were obvious effective,6 patients(19.35%) were effective,5 patients(16.12%) were non-effective,the total effective rate was 83.87%.Among 32 patients in danazol group,11 patients(34.37%) were cured,8 patients(25.00%) were obvious effective,7 patients(21.88%) were effective,6 patients(18.75%) were non-effective,the total effective rate was 81.25%;there was no significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups(P0.05).②Comparison of levels of estradiol in peripheral blood and menstrual blood,interleukin-8 content in peripheral blood between the two groups: before treatment,there was no significant difference in the levels of estradiol in peripheral blood and menstrual blood between the two groups(P0.05).At three months after treatment,serum estradiol levels in the two groups didn't change significantly,but the estradiol level in menstrual blood decreased gradually,compared with before treatment,there was significant difference(P0.01).There was no significant difference in the decrease level of estradiol in menstrual blood between the two groups(P0.05).The levels of interleukin-8 in peripheral blood and menstrual blood of Xiang'e capsule group deceased significantly,while the levels of interleukin-8 in peripheral blood and menstrual blood of danazol group didn't change,there was significant difference between the two groups(P0.01).Conclusion:The curative effect of Xiang'e capsule is good for cases with endometriosis,the mechanism may be related to the decreases of interleukin-8 in peripheral blood and menstrual blood.
