In the Philippines, errors in document presentation, a delay in receiving a subpoena, and human errors such as forgotten hearing calendars and overlapping caseloads are a few of the reasons for the delays. Potentially, automation in government agencies, including law enforcement and the criminal justice system in general, is a beneficial step to addressing the problems of delayed case processing. Automation of the Case Dispatching System of the country potentially results in a more accountable crime measurement and lessens delays in case processing, transcending transparency, accountability, and interoperability between agencies for more sustainable growth of the country’s justice system.
