Observing the inner structure of jets at cosmic distances remains a significant challenge, even with interferometric techniques. In this study, we identify a helical structure along the conical jet within approximately 72.4 light-years of the jet apex, based on the γ-ray escalating periodic oscillation (EPO) signal analysis and the Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) kinematic observations. The combined observations reveal the first direct evidence of the innermost helical structure in the conical jet of the blazar S5 0716+714, as well as the closest helical structure to the central supermassive black hole observed in blazar-type objects.
