espanolLa endometriosis es un trastorno ginecologico benigno, cronico y frecuente en las mujeres en edad fertil. Se estima que existe algun grado de endometriosis hasta en el 15% de las mujeres premenopausicas. La localizacion fuera de aparato genital es mas rara y debe sospecharse en mujeres en edad fertil con historia de alteraciones menstruales, infertilidad y que consulten por dolor al defecar, rectorragia, dolor abdominal, etc que se exacerben con la menstruacion EnglishEndometriosis is a benign, chronic and common gynecological disorder in women of childbearing age. It is estimated that there is some degree of endometriosis in up to 15% of premenopausal women. Its finding outside the genital tract is rare and should be suspected in women of childbearing age with a clinical history of menstrual abnormalities, infertility who complain of painful bowel movements, rectal bleeding, abdominal pain, etc. that exacerbate with menstruation.
