This paper presents a single clinical case to describe intestinal endometriosis as a rare cause of acute intestinal obstruction. The authors emphasize that diagnosis relies on anatomopathological findings because there are no pathognomonic signs allowing a preoperative diagnosis. In the reported presentation, the clinical picture and both radiological and operative findings suggested neoplasia, illustrating how endometriosis can mimic malignancy when presenting as bowel obstruction. This paper is centrally about endometriosis—specifically intestinal (colorectal) endometriosis presenting as acute bowel occlusion mimicking cancer.
