Laparoscopic laser surgery of gynecology

We used the Nd:YAG laser for treatment of endometriosis (136cases), peritubal adhesions (62cases), perifimblial adhesions (7cases) and hydrosalpinx (24cases) patients. Endometriosis patients complained of infertility (108cases) and dysmenorrhea (28cases).The laparoscopic procedures so far undertaken in our clinic include: Coagulation of peritoneal endometriosis, aspiration of chocolate cyst, removal of ovarian endometriosis, uterine nerve ablation, fimbrioplasty, adhesiolysis, salpingostomy and irrigation.After undergoing this procedure, 52 of 108 patients of endometriosis(48%) achieved pregnancy and 26 of 28 dysmenorrhea patients obtained pain relief.Thirteen of 36 patients of peritubal adhesion(36.1%), 2 of 7 patients of perifimblial adhesion(28.6%), and 4 of 24 patients of hydrosalpinx(16.7%) achieved pregnancy.We confirmed that laparoscopic laser surgery is an effective treatment for infertility and dysmenorrhea patients.
