Abstract
Objective To investigate the mechanism of the Curcuma treatment to endometriosis. Methods The endometriosis model was established in clean female SD rats. After 3 weeks, the model rats were divided into model, gestrinone and Curcuma groups(n = 10).Rats in sham group were selected as control. After 3 weeks of treatment, the volume of ectopic endometrial was measured.Level of E2 was determined by ELISA.Expressions of ERα,VEGF and MMP-3 were determined by immunostaining. Results There were obvious differences in ectopic tissue volume,E2,ERα,VEGF,MMP-3 between treatment groups and model group. There was no difference between gestrinone and Curcuma groups. Conclusions Curcuma can inhibit the ectopic tissue volume, level of E2,expressions of ERα,VEGF and MMP-3,inhibit ectopic endometrium growth and neovascularity and cure endometriosis.
