Thoughts for Treatment of Adenomyosis Based on Theory of Treating Symptom and Root Cause Simultaneously

The traditional Chinese medical pathogenesis and therapeutic principle of adenomyosis were discussed.It is suggested that the root cause of adenomyosis is mainly involved with blood stasis,the main symptom is shown as pain syndrome,and the therapeutic principle should be treating symptom and root cause simultaneously.The therapies of tonifying deficiency,dispelling excess pathogens,warming cold and clearing heat can be separately used for relieving pain induced by coagulation and stagnation of blood vessels,which results from different etiological factors.The results showed that the above therapies were effective on relieving symptoms,increasing quality of life,and increasing the conception rate,which is worth of further research.
