Abstract

SummaryThe classic presentation of Crohn's disease is with lower abdominal pain and bowel upset associated with weight loss and other systemic manifestations. Although most patients go to a surgeon, the gynaecologist sometimes meets a patient with undiagnosed lower abdominal pain in the absence of bowel symptoms or with a persistent gynaecological problem such as vaginal discharge or dyspareunia.
