Abstract

Abstract Oscillation and lung expansion (OLE) is a pneumatic noninvasive physiotherapy technique that delivers aerosolized medication with continuous positive expiratory pressure and continuous high-frequency oscillation in a cyclic manner. A recent report showed the use of OLE in an acute care setting in patients with severe atelectasis, its effectiveness in reducing postoperative pulmonary complication and the length of mechanical ventilation[1].
