Research status on angiopoietins in obstetrics and gynecology

Angiopoietin is an important angiogenic factor.It plays a crucial role in formation and stability maintenance of blood vessels.Angiopoietin-1(Ang-1) and Angiopoietin-2(Ang-2) are expressed in uterus and ovary mainly.The research on them in gynecology and obstetrics shown that they can promote proliferation and repair of endometrium,and may affect follicle development,maturation,ovulation and formation and development of corpus luteum.The abnormal expression of them may be associated with development of fetal growth restriction(FGR),endometriosis and so on.
