It seeks to quantify regional disparities, identify key influencing factors, and provide evidence-based insights for optimizing policy interventions to synchronize these three systems.Design/methodology/approach-A comprehensive evaluation index system was constructed across three dimensions: vocational education (school scale, teaching quality), rural revitalization (production capacity, eco-livability, rural civilization, affluence), and common prosperity (affluence, commonality). Provincial panel data from Northern China (Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Liaoning, Shandong) were analyzed using the entropy weight method to assign objective weights to indicators. The coupling coordination degree (CCD) model was then applied to measure dynamic interactions and coordination levels among the systems. Data were sourced from national statistical yearbooks (2011–2022).Findings - CCD showed sustained growth (average from 0.434 in 2011 to 0.643 in 2022). Significant differences persisted—Beijing (0.757) and Shandong (0.762) achieved intermediate coordinatio by 2022, while Hebei (0.513), Shanxi (0.601), and Tianjin (0.564) remained at lower levels despite rapid growth. Hebei’s CCD surged by 125% after implementing provincial vocational education policies (2014). Economic development stage, industrial structure, and educational resource allocation were primary influencing factors.Originality/value- Pioneers an integrated "vocational education–rural revitalization–common prosperity" coupling model, addressing a gap in holistic empirical research. Combines entropy weighting and CCD modeling to objectively quantify coordination trends across 12 years. Provides granular, province-level evidence for designing spatially targeted development policies, emphasizing institutional innovation and resource redistribution to bridge regional gaps. It seeks to quantify regional disparities, identify key influencing factors, and provide evidence-based insights for optimizing policy interventions to synchronize these three systems.Design/methodology/approach-A comprehensive evaluation index system was constructed across three dimensions: vocational education (school scale, teaching quality), rural revitalization (production capacity, eco-livability, rural civilization, affluence), and common prosperity (affluence, commonality). Provincial panel data from Northern China (Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Liaoning, Shandong) were analyzed using the entropy weight method to assign objective weights to indicators. The coupling coordination degree (CCD) model was then applied to measure dynamic interactions and coordination levels among the systems. Data were sourced from national statistical yearbooks (2011–2022).Findings - CCD showed sustained growth (average from 0.434 in 2011 to 0.643 in 2022). Significant differences persisted—Beijing (0.757) and Shandong (0.762) achieved intermediate coordinatio by 2022, while Hebei (0.513), Shanxi (0.601), and Tianjin (0.564) remained at lower levels despite rapid growth. Hebei’s CCD surged by 125% after implementing provincial vocational education policies (2014). Economic development stage, industrial structure, and educational resource allocation were primary influencing factors.Originality/value- Pioneers an integrated \"vocational education–rural revitalization–common prosperity\" coupling model, addressing a gap in holistic empirical research. Combines entropy weighting and CCD modeling to objectively quantify coordination trends across 12 years.
