Abstract

The uteri have been examined in 19 patients of 36 to 45 years of age with endometriosis Grade I-II. In endometriosis, uterine muscle was found to have microvascular-glandular complexes. Other findings were abnormal microvascular permeability, sites of hyalinosis and leucocyte infiltration of small vessels. The sites of endometriosis showed clusters of lymphoid elements with typical structures of the lymphoid follicles and a complex microvascular network.
