Progress in research on pharmacotherapy of endometriosis

The pharmacotherapy of endometriosis is regarded as a challenge.With deeper recognition of the side effects of traditional pharmacotherapy,many scholars make some replenishments and improvements for their regimens of treatment,including GnRH-a add-back therapy,regulation of GnRH-a's dosage and medication cycle.Meanwhile,they also explore the new therapeutic route,such as GnRH antagonist,drug-loaded IUD,arimedex,selective estrogen receptor modulators,anti-angiogenesis therapy and so on.This article reviewed progress in research on pharmacotherapy of endometriosis.
