Expression of the GnRH-R in Endometriosis

Objective To investigate the expression of the GnRH-R in the eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium from women with endometrium,and to discuss its clinical significance.Methods Biopsies 30 cases with ectopic endometrium,including 30 cases eutopic endometrium from women with endometrium,were examed for expression of GnRH-R using immunohistochemical techniques.Normal endometrium tissues from 30 patients with uterine fibroid were used as control.Results There was significant difference between the eutopic and ectopic endometrium in expression of GnRH-R(66.67%,100%,P0.005);The relative expression amousts of GnRH-R in the eutopic and ectopic endometrium of the patients with endometriosis(100%,66.67%) both were higher than those in the normal endometrium(16.67%)(P0.01,P0.005).Conclusion The expression of GnRH-R in the eutopic endometriosis and ectopic endometrium changes significantly,which may be associated with the pathogenesis and development of endometriosis,which will be helpful to treat endometriosis with GnRH-a.
