Identification of behavioural problems and its relationship with cognitive abilities of children living below the poverty line.

Abstract

Socioeconomic condition has always been the center of discussion in developing countries like India, the goals of overall sustainability have resulted in formation of several agendas that takes into account the difficulties of people living below the poverty line, it is necessary to reach to the realization that early identification of their cognitive abilities and the behavioural problems during the developmental age of the children from these communities is important. This is a community-based study that attempts to identify the behavioural problems of the children living below the poverty line and goes on to incur its correlation with the cognitive abilities of the children, yielding finding which suggests presence of behaviour problems and their correlation with cognitive abilities of the children from this particular section of the community.
