Abstract

Objectifs : etude qualitative du vecu des femmes infertiles atteintes d’endometriose a travers les forums de discussion en ligne. Methodes : etude qualitative menee sur des forums de discussion francophones sur internet auxquels participent les femmes infertiles atteintes d’endometriose. Resultats : au total, 82 commentaires ont ete analyses, provenant de 64 femmes sur 7 forums de discussion francophones. Quatre thematiques ont emerge a partir du partage d’experience de ces femmes : impact psychologique, impact sur le couple et la sexualite, consequences sur les relations sociales et impact professionnel. Les forums sont percus comme une aide apportant a la fois un soutien psychologique et un outil precieux d’acces a de l’information sur leur pathologie. Conclusion : l’etude des forums de discussion a montre des repercussions psycho-sociales et sur le couple dans le vecu des femmes infertiles souffrant d’endometriose. Ces impacts ont deja ete largement decrit dans la litterature, mais semble encore insuffisamment pris en charge par les soignants. Dans cette population, les forums de discussion semblent avoir un role benefique de soutien. L’impact professionnel de l’endometriose meriterait d’etre plus etudie et mieux connu par les entreprises.
