Abstract
Abstract Intravaginal administration of prostaglandins E 2 and F 2α in twelve women who had passed their expected day of menstruation by two to seven days was carried out. This induced menstruation in eleven women. The mechanism of action of prostaglandins and the implications of the results are discussed.
