Workplace Resilience of Non-Teaching Personnel in a School’s Division

The Pandemic brought by COVID-19 made a big impact on everyone’s lives. It alters the way workplaces should operate. Non-teaching personnel in a school’s division nature of work and workplace can be tough. Therefore, workplace resilience is one big key in handling this situation. The descriptive-comparative study was conducted among non-teaching personnel of the School’s Division who served as respondents. This study aimed to measure the level of their workplace resilience. Participants were grouped according to their age, sex, and length of service as the independent variable and the seven components as the dependent variable. Using an adapted and modified survey questionnaire by Winwood,2013 which was distributed online and in person, the data gathered was then treated statistically using mean, standard deviation, and t-Test. The study found that respondents, as a whole and among the seven components, the measurement of workplace resilience level, is predominantly in building networks, interacting cooperatively, and living authentically. These components should be given emphasis in finding the appropriate intervention for the underlying problems. Improving workplace resilience in other areas of the organization can play a vital role in their employees’ development. By understanding primary workplace resilience factors, they can design and implement specific interventions to foster resilience in a demanding and competitive environment to adapt effectively to challenging work roles and situations. Development programs should be manifested in order to foster workplace resilience among employees.
