Abstract
Objective To evaluate the various non- invasive preoperative diagnostic methods for uterine adenomyosis. Methods The clinical findings, ultrasound and MR features and the serum CA125 level were retrospectively analyzed in 303 cases initially diagnosed as uterine adenomyosis in Group A and 103 cases of uterine adenomyosis verified by pathology in Group B. Results Compared with Group A,the clinical diagnostic symptoms of Group B showed dysmenorrhoe(64.08%) and abnormauterine bleeding(72.82%) with less specificity. Diagnosis accordance rates of ultrasound and MR were 53.40% with the suboptimal diagnosis sensitivity and 86.41% with the optimal diagnosis sensitivity in both diffuse and focal adenomyosis. Serum CA125 had higher sensitivity and lower specificity. Conclusion A new preoperative diagnostic schema based on the reasonable combination of above-mentioned methods is recommended.
