Abstract

Abstract In this paper three censored mean (CM) level CFAR detectors are proposed; the Mean of CM (MCM), the CM Greatest Of (CMGO) and the CM Smallest Of (CMSO); and their performances are analyzed in homogeneous and non-homogeneous clutter for Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) radars with widely separated antennas (Statistical). Closed-form expressions of the probability of false alarm (PFA) and probability of detection (PD) are derived for the three CFAR detectors in homogeneous environment. By means of closed-form in homogeneous clutter and Monte Carlo simulations in non-homogeneous clutter, the detection performance of the three CFAR detectors is investigated and compared.
