Danazol in the treatment of endometriosis 12 cases

Danazol 400 mg daily was given to 12 patients with endometriosis for 12 weeks. Symptoms of dysmenorrhea and dyspareunia were thereby all completely subsided. The most distress side-effects were weight gain and hepatic damage. 3 of them obliged to have their medication interrupted because their SGPT remarkably elevated. 4 out of 9 patients had their clinical symptoms recurred within one year following their therapy suspended.
