An overview of marketed combined oral contraceptives approved by FDA from 2007 to 2011

This paper focused on the review of marketed combined oral contraceptives approved by FDA from 2007 to 2011,including progestin such as norethisterone,levonorgestrel,drospirenone,norgestimate, desogestrel and dienogest combined with estrogen.Moreover,the paper explained the pharmacology characteristic,pharmacokinetics,and the development of oral preparation of these progestins in order to point out the development tendency and application prospect of the combined oral contraceptives.
